Loraine is a zoology researcher, focusing on southern right whales. She completed her Master’s degree in Zoology at the University of Pretoria’s Mammal Research Institute Whale Unit and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. Her research revolves around understanding the physiology of the southern right whale population of South Africa and how they're impacted by environmental changes. Loraine actively participates in boat-based research expeditions along the South African coast to collect crucial data for conservation efforts.
