In March of 2012 Director and Explorer James Cameron descended to the bottom of Challenger Deep - the world's deepest point, farther down than Mt. Everest is tall - in his custom built DeepSea Challenger Submersible. In doing so, he was just the third person to go there (more people have been on the moon!) and he helped usher in a new generation of explorers of the abyss!
