1:00 pm to 1:45 pm EST
In March, Joe followed the Madre de Dios River deep into the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest and into Manu National Park. Manu is a globally renowned haven of terrestrial biodiversity at the meeting point of the Tropical Andes and the Amazon Basin. It's 1.7 million hectares is roadless, sparing it from most human impacts and is difficult to access to this day. It was a week of no people, no hot water, no electricity, tons of insects and an incredible biodiversity of plant an animal species. Jaguars, tapirs, giant river otters, boa constrictors, caiman and harpy eagles barely scratch the surface of the wildlife encounters Joe had while following the winding river by motorized canoe. Join in for a visual journey beginning at Machu Picchu, into the cloud forest and descending into the Amazon Basin!
