The Ingenious+ Launch

Powered by the Rideau Hall Foundation in partnership with JA Canada, Ingenious+ is a national youth innovation prize with a strong regional and community focus. The goal is to give students aged 14 to 18 the opportunity to innovate for good, and to share their strategies to address problems at home, across Canada, and around the world.

Mis en œuvre par la Fondation Rideau Hall en partenariat avec JA Canada, Ingénieux+ est un prix national d’innovation destiné aux jeunes, fortement axé sur les régions et les communautés. L’objectif est de donner aux élèves de 14 à 18 ans l’occasion d’innover pour le bien commun et de partager leurs stratégies pour résoudre des problèmes chez elles/eux, au Canada et dans le monde.

PDG et cofondateur de Kinova, s’est donné comme mission de mettre la robotique au service de l’humain. C’est pendant son enfance que tout a commencé, alors que Charles, voulant aider et motiver trois de ses oncles atteints de dystrophie musculaire, a eu la « piqûre de l’invention ». in. Pendant ses études à l’École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), il a eu une vision claire et a élaboré la mission de Kinova, entreprise qu’il a cofondée en 2006. Charles, toujours déterminé, se sert également de Kinova pour contribuer au développement de la meilleure relève en offrant des stages en robotique et des occasions d’apprentissage intégré au travail.

Kyla Zhowshkawabunokwe Judge | Connecting Indigenous Youth to the Land

Kyla is an Anishinaabekwe of the Marten clan, from Shawanaga First Nation. She is passionate about Anishinaabek aadziwin, land-based learning, and grassroots organizing. As the GBAY Coordinator, she works with Indigenous youth to create safe spaces for building strong community and cultural connections. She leads the planning and delivery of Indigenous Youth land-based education, including the recently completed Wiigwaas Jiimaan (birch bark canoe), Oshikinigig!
