Join Siri as she shares with us what is happening with the climate and weather – and how climate solutions can help us save the ice and snow. Siri began her career as a weather presenter at TV2 and went on to establish a leading global provider of weather intelligence, StormGeo. She leads Nysnø Climate Investments – a Norwegian state-owned investment company that focuses on climate technologies. Siri holds a Master of Science in Meteorology and has a PhD in offshore wind technology. Before she started at Nysnø, Siri lead the research network for clean energy at the University of Stavanger. She has founded several businesses with experience in finance and start-up companies with environmental technologies.

Tom Matthews

Join climate scientist Tom Matthews to learn about the weather on Earth’s highest peak! Tom took part in National Geographic and Rolex’s Perpetual Planet Extreme Expedition to Mt. Everest, where he helped establish the world’s highest weather station. 

Tom is a climate scientist with particular interests in the sensitivity of Earth systems to climate variability and change. His specific areas of expertise include glacier-climate interactions and extreme events – from mid-latitude storms to heatwaves and hurricanes.
