Live From the Pacific Ocean Onboard the Exploration Vessel Nautilus

Join the Exploration Vessel Nautilus live from the South Pacific as they map the seafloor around Jarvis Island! We have better maps of the Moon and Mars then we do of our own sea floor, so filling in the gaps of this poorly studied part of the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument (PRIMNM) is incredibly important. These high-resolution seafloor maps will help identify unique and interesting features for future ROV exploration and supports management and conservation efforts within one of the largest marine protected areas in the world.

The Ocean Exploration Trust (OET) and the Nautilus Exploration Program aim to explore the ocean, seeking out new discoveries in the fields of geology, biology, maritime history, archaeology, and chemistry while pushing the boundaries of education, outreach, and technological innovation. The Nautilus is 68-meter ship on a mission to explore the never-before-explored areas of the ocean and seek out new discoveries and share them LIVE via nautiluslive.org
