Listening to Whales with Hilary Moors-Murphy
Dr. Hilary Moors-Murphy is a Research Scientist with Fisheries and Oceans Canada at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO). She leads a whale research and monitoring program at BIO with a primary focus on studying whale sounds to learn about how they are use eastern Canada waters. She will talk about how she records the underwater sounds that whales make and play some examples of different whale sounds she hears off Nova Scotia.
