Celebrate National Fossil Day With Duke Lemur Center!

Fossils reveal the incredible creatures and environments that once lived on Earth. Fossils also teach us a lot about the world we live in today. Duke Lemur Center Paleontologist Matt Borths takes you behind the scenes in the Duke Lemur Center fossil collection to introduce you to the lemur-like primates that once lived in Wyoming jungles and The Crystal Skull, a sparkly greater bamboo lemur skull from the northern tip of Madagascar. But there aren’t jungles in Wyoming or greater bamboo lemurs in that part of Madagascar today. Learn how paleontologists use fossils to understand how environments change, and how those changes are connected to extinction. This presentation is the day after National Fossil Day in the US, so keep your celebrations going with the Duke Lemur Center!
