Forest habitats are the most biodiverse places on land, teeming with creatures of all kinds spread throughout the understory and canopy. Trees serve as physical homes for thousands of species of animals and other plants and as ecosystems in and of themselves, able to change the weather over huge parts of the planet – as well as producing the oxygen for 1 out of every 3 breaths you take! In this contest, you’re lucky enough to be camping in one of these wondrous places and we want your imagination to run wild with all the possibilities of what you might see!
Rules
1) Drawings are submitted on tent flap themed paper (see attached). Fill in the opening representing the view out your tent door with your image!
2) Drawings should be of something that you could hypothetically find in a forest! Birds, bees, bears and of course a ton of trees! Have fun with it and don’t be afraid to use LOTS of colour! Take a look at some forests (especially in the Boreal Forest, Amazon or Congo Basin) for inspiration

Teachers can scan or take photos of their students’ drawings, sending them to ebtsoyp@gmail.com and using the email heading ‘Forest Art Submissions”
Teachers, please include your name, grade, school and location in the email. You might also choose to collect all the drawings in a Google folder, sending the link to us.
You’re welcome, and encouraged, to share images in advance of the contest end date on social media and linking us @ebtsoyp or our partners @PLT_Canada and @BCParksFdn
We’ve also partnered with PLT Canada on a special kahoot you can play with your students!
All submissions will be displayed on a special contest padlet (padlet.com/ebtsoyp/
Winners will be announced on May 5th as we celebrate the #LoveNature campaign!
