Survivor Moon with Dr. Gordon Osinski

Do you know what it takes to survive on the Moon? In this activity you will prioritize items your crew needs to return safely to your lunar base.
Dr. Gordon “Oz” Osinski is a Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences and the NSERC/MDA/CSA/CEMI Industrial Research Chair in Earth and Space Exploration at the University of Western Ontario. He also serves as the Director of the Institute for Earth and Space Exploration and Director of the Canadian Lunar Research Network. Dr. Osinski’s research focuses on understanding the evolution of the surface of the Earth and other planetary bodies as well as the origin and evolution of life. His main focus is on understanding impact cratering as a planetary geological process, on the Earth, Moon and Mars. Fieldwork forms the basis of much of his research and he has conducted over 25 expeditions to the Arctic, Antarctica and other remote regions of Earth. He is also involved in developing technologies and techniques for human and robotic surface operations on the Moon and Mars and in providing geology training to Canadian and U.S. astronauts.
